TechShop is a membership-based makerspace with over $1 million of equipment and software to allow you to build your dreams. Our STEAM summer camps encourage children to learn about design, robotics, electronics and fabrication through hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced professionals. Camps will run weekly throughout the summer, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 am until 3:30 pm, with the option for after-camp care until 6 pm. All camps are offered in session for students ages 8-12 and 13-17, alternating weekly. Our 2016 camps are as follows. Design and Build: Students are taken through the entire creative process, from design through fabrication. They will learn how to translate their imagination into reality through the use of laser cutters and 3D printers, among other equipment. Arduino Robotics: Students will learn how to use the all-powerful Arduino, an incredibly versatile, yet accessible, microcontroller. They will create a variety of projects throughout the week, which will culminate in the building of their very own Arduino-powered robot!
